How targeted ad strategies drove 5-6X ROAS and 3-4X ROI for Clockwork’s premier programs

Timeline: Sept 2019 – March 2021

In my role as the lead ad strategist for Run Like Clockwork, I orchestrated the ad campaigns for their 10K Clockwork Accelerator Program launch, the inaugural Clockwork Bootcamp, and a suite of lead magnets like the Vacation Quiz. The goal was to build a robust marketing strategy that not only delivered high ROI but also set the foundation for long-term audience engagement and conversion.

The Challenge

Run Like Clockwork aimed to establish their flagship programs in a competitive market while maximizing return on ad spend and ensuring their tracking remained accurate during significant platform changes, such as Apple’s iOS14 update. This involved innovating ad strategies, refining content, and leveraging a full-funnel approach to boost conversions and overall program visibility.

My Approach

Strategy and Ideation: I developed and led ad strategies across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, focusing on building multiple lead and sales funnels that could engage and nurture both cold and warm audiences.

Funnel Creation & Automation: I spearheaded the creation of new landing pages and content pages, enhancing the user journey through meticulously designed marketing automation campaigns. This structured approach nurtured leads from initial contact to conversion seamlessly.

Project Oversight: Every landing, sales, and thank you page was audited for conversion optimization and tracking integrity. My oversight ensured each touchpoint in the customer journey supported the broader marketing goals effectively.

Advanced Reporting: During a time of significant change with iOS14 tracking updates, I implemented advanced tracking solutions to maintain the accuracy of campaign data. This enabled data-driven decisions and continuous optimization for better results.

The Results

The three major launches I led were resoundingly successful:

  • Achieved a $5-$8 cost per cold lead for hundreds of leads through Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn ads.
     

  • Built a robust tracked sales funnel with an average of 5-7 interactions before someone was ready to enroll in the program. 
     

  • 5-6X ROAS (Return on Ad Spend) across campaigns, demonstrating effective budget utilization.
     

  • 3-4X ROI (Return on Investment), highlighting strong profitability.
